International PDGA disc golf open event in Girardota Colombia held in the Parkesito Enka

THE AMERICAS OPEN GIRARDOTA – COLOMBIA FROM 12-14 DECEMBER 2024

LAS AMERICAS OPEN is an International Disc golf Open Tournament in Colombia, Girardota, at Parkesito Enka in PMF project 1.3. The event is packaged which includes:

3 days. 3 round PDGA B tier Pro/Am event at beautiful Girardota, only 20 min driving from Medellin Colombia.
1 extra day open field for practice. FLEX
First, second and third position on each category will be awarded «per PDGA»
CTP’s awards in each category in different rounds.
Players pack with an event disc event shirt customized with your name and PDGA number ( if registered before Dec. 1, 2024). Additional shirts can be ordered.
Snacks and beverage in the fields.
and other items made in Colombia.
Add ons include a players party, a flex round before the tournament and an Ace fund.
Am players are trophy only and Pro players will be payed according to PDGA rules. Since we want this to be a B tier, we will be adding additional cash to the Pro purse.
PDGA members will have a 10 day head start to register then it will be open to all.

Full weekend Spectator passes that includes an event disc souvenir will be available, also single day passes without event disc.

Medellín is called the «City of eternal Spring» and has an annual daily temp of 72f. It might reach 80 for a couple hours in the afternoon and 60’s at night, all with 50-60% humidity.

Direct and Roundtrip from Orlando, Miami or Ft Lauderdale to Medellin (MDE) and can be as low as $350.

If needed, a 1st group of up to 72 players will will play in the AM and another group in the afternoon.

The goal of this event is to expand disc golf in Colombia and Latin America. We are working to secure a space to build 2, possibly 3 eighteen hole courses in the Medellin Metro area. We will need to supply 36-54 baskets, tees and signs. Necesitaremos suministrar de 36 a 54 canastas, tees y letreros.
